デッドストックだったこの糸はユニークな混率の割に番手が1/48クラスと保守的だったのが印象的でした。欧米の紡績メーカーではこの様な混率の糸も珍しくありませんが、大凡それらは手芸向けの太番手やファンシーな物が多いからです。
実際のこの素材は非常に繊細なマイクロファイバーアクリルを主原料としているため、光沢や滑らかさがあり、カシミヤ原毛との融合によってラグジュアリーな糸になっています。
また羊毛を使っていないので洗う際にもフェルト化する事はありません。
そして、ケミカル優位な事で、耐久性や強度も兼ね揃えています。
ドレッシーかつスポーティなリブ編みセットアップのアイデアには最適解の素材でした。
This deadstock yarn was impressive for its unique blend and its conservative count of 1/48 class. This is because, although it is not unusual for European and American spinners to produce yarns with such blends, they are usually thicker and fancier for handicrafts.
The actual material is made from a very fine microfibre acrylic, which gives it a lustre and smoothness, and the fusion with the cashmere yarn makes it a luxurious yarn.
It is also wool-free, so it does not felt when washed.
The chemical superiority of the yarn also makes it durable and strong.
The material was the perfect solution for the idea of a dressy and sporty ribbed set-up.
